A non-invasive treatment, Jin Shin Jyutsu has successfully harmonized inner energy by using a light physical touch for centuries.

Walking through the doors of a wellness center, one may be hesitant as to what should be expected. Fear and anxiety are unnecessary feelings due to the fact that most natural healing facilities have warm and calming ambiances. Take a seat, enjoy a cup of tea, and browse the pages of literature containing information on natural healing practices and options.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is a natural energy healing therapy - connecting the body, mind, and spirit on levels that many people are unaware exist within the body. Although used for centuries, Jin Shin Jyutsu was recovered and reintroduced in the early 1900's by Jiro Murai, an avid practitioner of the ancient Oriental tradition. His own successful awakening of inner energy influenced him to believe and promote Jin Shin Jyutsu.

Treatment Basics

Frequently used with Quigong - an exercise composed of slow movements related to breathing, stretching, and posture - Jin Shin Jyutsu has provided various degrees of relief for those who practice it. Stemming from ancient beliefs, there are 52 places known as "safety energy locks" or (SELS) that are located on energy flows, which flow in a system throughout the body. Practitioners of natural healing and Jin Shin Jyutsu lightly touch different SELS according to an individual's needs.

There are different energy healing techniques pertaining to specific ailments. Energy blocks exist at different depths and basic treatments may be easily performed on the self by cusping certain individual fingers.

  • The thumb is connected with the stomach and digestive system.
  • The middle finger corresponds with the pancreas and liver.
  • The index finger is linked directly with the kidneys, joints, and muscular system.

The Moment of Relaxing Truth

Before a treatment begins - usually lasting 50 to 60 minutes - the practitioner reads the pulse of the patient. Since Jin Shin Jyutsu induces a relaxing state of mind, it is common for the practitioner to enter a certain degree of meditation while treating. Kathy Keating, a Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner for over 20 years, emphasizes the importance of taking time to relax and breathe throughout the day. Her words of wisdom are simple yet sensible: " Remember, we are human beings, not human doings. "

An efficient natural healer can sense energy blockages and stagnation along the different SELS. Once clarity is detected, the practitioner moves on to the next blocked SEL. A significantly lowered pulse is usually achieved by the end of a treatment session.

Healing Connection

A Jin Shin Jyutsu treatment harmonizes the body, mind, and spirit. Patients often report feeling relaxed with improved moods and energy. Occasionally, warm throbbing sensations occur - indicating a release of negative energy from the body. Monthly natural healing treatments are recommended and may be performed daily for ultimate body, mind, and spirit restoration. There are no risks or medication interferences with natural healing procedures. In fact, most doctors encourage relaxing treatments such as Jin Shin Jyutsu to their patients.
